The launch of design for dwell last year was a very exciting time for us.
At dwell we are passionate about great designed furniture that is easily accessible, that is why we design all of our furniture in house, this makes up 90% of our product range.

Aamir Ahmad, Managing Director, dwell comments 'We were overwhelmed by the high standard of entries that we received and have decided that the competition will be an annual event. This is a fantastic opportunity for members of the public to show their creative flair and share our enthusiasm for great, design led furniture.'
From over 200 entries, the shortlist was whittled down to 25 finalists, covering everything from a clever picture frame with a storage pocket to an unusual angled shelf unit.
The overall winner was the Comfortable coffee table, designed by design student Kimberly Whitelaw from Edinburgh, pictured above with John Amabile. The panel felt her design ticked all the right boxes.
