Cecula Choryn - Double Chaise-Sofa
The panel thought that this idea had real potential, especially for smaller homes and apartments. One or two of the panelists thought that the shape of the back rest needed to be fine-tuned, but were impressed with the ingenuity of the 'two in one' concept.

Rebecca Sargison - Extend Yourself
Rebecca's ingenious design for a shelving system with additional extending storage compartments impressed most of the judges, who felt that this was an attractive and practical idea. It could easily be produced in a number of different sizes, colours and materials to create an interesting range of products said Heather.

Tiina Hakala - Stor Chair
Tiina's chair was thought to be a particularly clever design, although more suited to commercial applications (such as lecture halls) than to dwell. 'I also think this could be a successful design if scaled down to be suitable for smaller children at school' suggested Linda Parker.

Peter Syrad - Table with integral Seats & Footrest
This design promoted mixed feelings, but enough panel members were enthusiastic about this ingenious concept to win over those who were unsure! The panel thought that a little experimentation with colours and materials could make this design even more interesting.

Jon Daniels - Light & Shade
Jon's concept was to create an eco-friendly, folding designer desk lamp. The panel liked the simplicity of this design, with the light's own shadow forming the supporting structure.
